QVEC Call Answer Times
FOR THE SECOND STRAIGHT QUARTER THERE WAS
NO PSAP IN THE STATE WITH A HIGHER CALL VOLUME THAT POSTED A BETTER
CALL ANSWER PERCENTAGE THAN QVEC DID !!!! For the period July 1, 2011 -
September 30, 2011 QVEC answered 9,674 E-911 calls. Of those calls
answered, 9553 (98.7%) were answered in under 10 seconds.
101 calls (1%) were answered between 10-20 seconds and 19 calls (.2%) were
answered between 20-30 seconds. The National Emergency Number
Association (NENA) standard states that 90% of all 911 calls shall be
answered within 10 seconds and that 95% of all 911 calls shall be answered
within 20 seconds. The CT Statewide average for this same time period
was 94.7%.
