QVEC Call Answer Times
FOR THE THIRD STRAIGHT QUARTER THERE WAS
NO PSAP IN THE STATE WITH A HIGHER CALL VOLUME THAT POSTED A BETTER
CALL ANSWER PERCENTAGE THAN QVEC DID !!!!
For the period October 1,
2011 - December 30, 2011 QVEC answered 8,105 E-911 calls. Of those
calls answered, 8,046 (99.3%) were answered in under 10 seconds. 53 calls (.7%) were answered between 10-20 seconds and
6 calls (.1%) were
answered between 20-30 seconds. The National Emergency Number
Association (NENA) standard states that 90% of all 911 calls shall be
answered within 10 seconds and that 95% of all 911 calls shall be answered
within 20 seconds. The CT Statewide average for this same time period
was 94.8%.
